Earlier this month, we received accreditation from Living Wage Foundation.
Our Living Wage commitment means everyone working at L’Atypique, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers, will receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.15 - significantly higher than the national minimum wage of £6.50.
The Living Wage hourly rate is set independently and updated annually and is a social consensus about what people need to make ends meet.
We’ve been paying the London Living Wage to everyone we work with since we started trading in 2014. Our accreditation underlines our commitment this. In the end, if we pay people a decent wage, everybody benefits - we all have a better time working together, people stick around and we grow together as an organisation - this has to be good for business! We don’t cut corners with our wine, so why would we with our people?
