After abandoning dreams of becoming an astronaut quite early on (fear of heights, claustrophobic, control freak), Neil studied Archaeology and Mediaeval History in Sheffield and then Architectural History at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
None of this has very much to do with wine, but thankfully he has developed a reasonable palate, gained some expertise and a has a great enthusiasm for small-producer and natural wines.
A committed Francophile, if not Francophone, he’s spent several long stints in remote corners of France tending organic tomatoes and communing with goats.
Now back in London, Neil is just very excited to be selling great wine, sharing a tipple and having a time.
Outside of L’Atypique, Neil runs a small publishing company, Grayshon Editions, and (sometimes) writes freelance for various food and design titles.
